... You'll Be On Your Way Home.

If you're expecting an in-depth review of Rowan Smith's show last week at Whatiftheworld in Woodstock, then don't read on. I'll leave that to the well-equipped academia.
I found the show engaging and haunting. I really enjoyed it. I'm also happy that I came early, my favourite work of the evening was 15 or so vintage battery powered radios herded into the gallery floor corner all turned on playing nothing but static. The static was almost inaudible later in the evening when 50 or so people filled the small gallery; all chattering, glasses full of social lubricant.
I also liked the found objects (newspaper frontpage from 1969 and a meteorite) and I'm the kinda guy who likes going through other people's crap, so I can imagine that must've been fun tracking objects down.
Mr Smith is going places.
