Spier Deadline looming
Tuesday, October 27, 2009
The deadline for entering Spier Contemporary is on friday. So if you're a South African artist and you're not up late working on an artwork or a proposal (Spier is great in that they actually accept proposals), you should be.
The entry form is easy, and you can get it here. You just need to go get a copy of your ID certified and put together a proposal/documentation. Obviously, having been one of the winners with Doing it for Daddy last time, I'm pretty bias, however, I really think that this is a competition worth entering, and an exhibition worth supporting.
And, in exciting and strangely unpublicised news, the 2010 installment will happen at City Hall, in the middle of the city - a great opportunity for work to be seen, and to go and see some contemporary South African art.
Good luck.
